Ride Japan's Ridged Quatroid uses a four-direction fold system: rather than a single tunnel with uniform ribbing, the internal structure has four banks of folds arranged around the circumference, each catching and releasing with every stroke from its own angle. The combined effect is a dense, wrapping sensation that reads as continuous rather than rhythmic. Material is described as Mochimochi — Ride Japan's designation for a high-elasticity, baby-soft compound that deforms easily under pressure and springs back quickly. This keeps individual stroke feedback distinct without the toy feeling rigid. Ships DDP from Tokyo with lotion included. Practical note: the four-direction folds mean rotational variation in stroke angle produces noticeably different sensation — experimenting with slight twist on each stroke is worth trying with this design.
